Go into birth confident and informed.
Are you overwhelmed or confused about which type of birth setting or caregiver is right for you? Should you have your baby in a hospital, birth center, or at home? Midwife or obstetrician? Why would you not just use the OB/GYN that you have already been seeing for years?
We know how many questions can come up. We’ve been there and understand that this is a big choice, and sometimes what you thought may be a good fit initially doesn’t feel right as you get further into pregnancy.
Align your Birth Setting with your Vision and Values
Our founder, Lena, created this service drawing on more than 17 years of experience guiding expectant parents through transfers of care—whether to a new provider or a different birth setting—even late in pregnancy. She’ll answer your questions, help you understand what each option would actually look and feel like, and support you in narrowing down the choices that best fit your individual needs. You’ll leave with personalized referrals to midwives, OB/GYNs, hospitals, and birthing centers that align with your goals.
Lena can also help you craft a clear, practical birth plan, explore and refine your birth preferences, or even address preconception questions. For those planning a pregnancy, she offers guidance on timing conception, understanding fertility signals, supporting preconception wellness, and identifying the right midwife or OB/GYN before you’re pregnant.

Meet Lena: Childbirth Expert + Founder

Lena has supported more than a thousand New York families in their journey to parenthood over more than 17 years, through her sought-after childbirth classes and hands-on doula support in homes, hospitals, and birthing centers. A mother of two herself, she brings both personal insight and professional expertise to her work. Her extensive training as a licensed massage therapist, clinical herbalist, birth doula, lactation counselor, and childbirth educator—along with studies in infant massage, perinatal nutrition, psychology, and trauma-informed care—informs her holistic approach and makes her a valuable addition to any birth team.
What makes Lena uniquely qualified to support you in choosing an ideal care provider?
I’ve attended births at homes, hospitals, freestanding birth centers, and in-hospital birth centers. I’ve worked with many midwives and obstetricians throughout NYC. My unique viewpoint as a birth doula, educator, lactation counselor and mother of two can give you some perspective on what the different options are really like so that you can make an informed decision regarding your care. I will listen carefully to your preferences and help direct you to some birth settings and specific midwives or obstetricians who I think would be a great match for you.
