We believe true wellness is a collective endeavor. That’s why our evidence-based safety practices to prevent the spread of illness and infections protect and nurture both you and the wider community we serve.
When we reopened after the pandemic shutdowns of 2020, we went to great lengths to make our center a leader in infection prevention — often going beyond official guidelines to keep our clients and staff safe. While the urgent phase of COVID-19 has passed, we’ve chosen to keep the best of these practices in place. Today, our focus is on maintaining rigorous hygiene and thoughtful safety measures that reduce the spread of all types of illness, protect our most at-risk community members, and ensure every client feels comfortable in our care.
Mask Requests
- Masks are optional for both clients and staff.
- If you’d like your practitioner to wear a mask during your session, simply let us know at booking — we’re happy to accommodate.
Vaccination Requests
- Nearly all of our staff are vaccinated against COVID, but if you prefer to see a verified vaccinated or boosted practitioner, our front desk can arrange this for you at booking. Some of our staff have given us permission to share their status with clients and our front desk maintains a list of those who have given that permission to help clients who feel more comfortable seeing a vaccinated therapist.
Illness Policy
- We ask that clients and staff stay home if experiencing symptoms of any infectious illness (fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, diarrhea/vomiting, unexplained rash, etc.)
- We ask that clients and staff recovering from an illness wait to come in until symptoms have subsided and they are free of fever and/or vomiting for a minimum of 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
- If you become sick within 24 hours of your appointment, we offer limited-time make-up sessions for cancellations due to illness. See our policies for details.
Our Hygiene + Safety Standards
We continue to go above and beyond when it comes to keeping our space safe, clean, and welcoming. Many of the upgrades we first put in place during the pandemic are still part of our daily practice — and our clients notice the difference.
- Ventilation & Air Quality Every treatment room and common area has fresh-air ventilation and medical-grade HEPA filters, providing air exchange rates that far exceed recommended standards.
- Thorough Cleaning Treatment rooms are carefully cleaned and disinfected between every appointment, with additional sanitizing throughout the center each day. We use a plant-based, EPA-approved disinfectant that is both safe and highly effective.
- Touchless & Paperless Upgrades Touchless sinks, soap, and sanitizer stations are available throughout the space. We’ve also adopted a fully digital system for health records and intake forms.
- Staff Training & Support Our therapists and staff are trained in best practices for infection prevention and have completed continuing education on working safely with clients recovering from COVID. We also provide paid sick leave to ensure no one comes to work unwell.
By grounding our practices in both evidence and care, we create a safe, nurturing environment that supports your well-being and the health of our whole community.
