Marika Chandler, LAc, MS, MTOM, brings over 17 years of experience as a licensed acupuncturist and clinical herbalist. She works with adults, teens, and elders to enhance well-being and treat a wide variety of mental, emotional, and physical conditions. Her specialties include, but are not limited to: enhancing fertility, prenatal and postnatal support, acute and chronic pain and tension, neck and upper back pain, digestive disorders, and mental/emotional stress.
Marika crafts unique treatments for each person’s needs. She selects from a variety of acupuncture styles and enhances the efficacy of her treatments as needed with clinical herbal medicine, dietary guidance, cupping and moxa. Marika has experience working with clients experiencing a range of issues including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), long Covid, PCOS, severe depression, ALS, scoliosis, IBS, post-surgical pain, and the side effects of cancer treatments.
Marika’s journey with healing and the body began with a career in modern dance and Pilates. She went on to earn two degrees in East Asian Medicine: a Master’s in Acupuncture from Tristate College in New York and a Master’s of Traditional Oriental Medicine and Clinical Herbalism from Emperor’s College in Los Angeles. While pursuing her degrees she served as a clinical assistant to the renowned Dr. Hua Bing Wen and studied Qigong for over five years with Grand Master Nan Lu. She is continuously expanding her knowledge to enhance her practice. Recent studies include training in biodynamic craniosacral therapy, Alchemical Healing, and an extensive two year herbal mentorship program. One of her greatest accomplishments and deepest joys is being a mom to her teenage daughter, Rowen.
