A native New Yorker who has always had a passion and curiosity for science, Emily spent several years on our team as a massage therapist before an injury led her to take on a leadership and administrative role on our team. Emily enjoys being part of our front desk team while also acting as LMT Co-Coordinator to support our team of licensed massage therapists in a number of capacities including organizing continuing education and professional development. Emily has a background in biology and interdisciplinary science and outside of her work as a massage therapist, she studies the human microbiome at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her research looks at ways the microbiome impacts cancer treatment and recovery, infectious disease, and many aspects of health from childbirth throughout different stages of life and disease. Emily loves walks with her dog Sherbert, taking care of her many houseplants, making music and short films, and watercolor painting.
