In addition to her training as a massage therapist, Isabel is also a certified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. She knows first-hand how important the process of nervous system regulation is to the outcome of body therapy and aims to help people become more embodied and empowered in their own healing.
As a professional dancer for over a decade, and dancer her whole life, Isabel brings a unique skill set, knowledge of the physical moving body, and sensitivity to her body work. Her rigorous life makes her no stranger to injuries, injury prevention, and the demands of a high-performance career. Isabel sustained two concussions in her dance work which brought her as a client to biodynamic craniosacral therapy (BCST) and subsequently completed a 500-hr certification at Stillpoint. This work has helped her develop acute and sensitive listening abilities, allowing her to be a present, grounded, and body-oriented practitioner.
Isabel went on to complete a 1000-hr AOS for massage therapy at Pacific College- New York where she was granted two internships. The first was at Womankind, an organization providing support for survivors of gender-based violence, where she utilized the trauma-informed verbal skills and practices learned in BCST. The second was with the Joffrey Ballet School where she worked with ballet dancers, teachers, and office-workers of all ages. Isabel has since completed continuing education in prenatal massage, biodynamic craniosacral therapy for post-concussion syndrome, Long Covid, and other autoimmune disorders. Isabel has experience working in an orthopedic sports massage clinic and physical therapy office.
